SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION PRESENTATION
The presentation is designed to provide an overview of the historical facts and the biblical truths which form the basis for the Christians belief that the Bible is the inspired written word of God to man. Together with that a biblical explanation of the facts regarding God, this world, man, sin, and salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus will also be given. This knowledge provides the means to establish a relationship with God and a solid spirtual foundation in life. The three part presentation contains the following information:
1. The New Testament – A trustworthy Historical Document.
Evidence will be presented to show that the New Testament is a trustworthy historical document, given by eyewitnesses and contemporaries of Jesus, and that it contains an accurate and reliable written record of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and the early church.
2. The Inspiration of the Bible – God’s Revelation to Man.
It will be shown that the written record of the NT establishes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was sent by God to this world to reveal and establish the truth about life. In this capacity Jesus affirmed the divine inspiration of the Old Testament and laid the foundation for the inspiration of the New Testament. Additional evidence for the inspiration of the Bible will also be provided.
3. Establishing a Relationship with God – Growing Spirtually.
The last part will focus on what God has revealed in the Bible regarding the way He has provided for individuals to establish a relationship with Him, and the process of spiritual growth, renewal and inner transformation which can take place in the life of a person who has done that. This new relationship with God and subsequent spiritual growth is the basis for be able to experience real peace, joy, rest, freedom and the abundant life that God wants everyone to experience by following Jesus (John 10:10; Mathew 11:28, John 8:36, 14:27, 15:11, 17:1-3 )
